Անկոլա, պաշտօնապէս Անկոլայի Հանրապետութիւն, երկիր մըն է Հարաւային Ափրիկէի արեւմտեան-կեդրոնական ափին: Ան ամէնամեծ Փորթուկալերէն (Լուսոֆոն) երկիրն է ինչպէս ընդհանուր տարածքով, այնպէս ալ բնակչութեամբ եւ Ափրիկէի եօթներորդ ամէնամեծ երկիրը: Անոր սահմանակիցները Նամիպիան է հարաւը, Քոնկոյի Դեմոկրատական Հանրապետութիւնը՝ հիւսիսը, Զամպիան՝ արեւելքը եւ Ատլանտեան Ովկիանոսը՝ արեւմուտքը: Անկոլան ունի Քապինտա անունով արտաքին նահանգ մը, որ սահման ունի Քոնկոյի Հանրապետութեան եւ Քոնկոյի Դեմոկրատական Հանրապետութեան հետ: Անոր մայրաքաղաքն ու ամէնաշատ բնակչութիւն ունեցող քաղաքը Լուանտան է:

Անկոլան բնակեցուած է Հին Քարի դարաշրջանէն ի վեր: Պանթու տարածումը հասնելէ ետք, պետութիւններ ձեւաւորուեցան 13-րդ դարուն եւ կազմակերպուեցան դաշինքներու մէջ: Քոնկոյի Թագաւորութիւնը գերիշխանութիւն ձեռք բերաւ միւս թագաւորութիւններէն 14-րդ դարէն սկսեալ: Փորթուկալացի հետազօտողները կապեր հաստատեցին Քոնկոյի հետ 1483-ին: Հարաւին էին Նտոնկոյի եւ Մաթամպայի թագաւորութիւնները, աւելի հարաւ՝ Օվիմպունտու թագաւորութիւնները եւ արեւելքին՝ Մպունտա Թագաւորութիւնը:[6][7]
